In most applications 400 lb per acre is a good starting point.  This is approximately equal to 1 lb per 100 ft²  (square feet).

Farm

For alfalfa, clover or other legumes, apply 400 lb per acre as a wintering blend.  Soil tests should be taken to determine the necessity of adding specific micro minerals.  Legumes do have specific trace mineral requirements.

0-2-9 would also work well on beans where the phosphorus tests high and potassium is low.  Again a soil test is needed for best results.
